If you wish to start your language journey or improve your Japanese I would be honoured to tutor you. I have been studying Japanese through a variety of means and methods for almost 10 years. I have honed my skills through intensive reading and listening but found that my childhood passion for videogames could be utilized to expand my vocabulary and help me enjoy studying again. I realised that the best means to work your way to fluency is to study hand in hand with your passions and interests, as such I will be looking to build a plan that can do the same for you.

My personal method to teaching is to review what your languages goals are and what you’d like to be able to talk about. Are you interested in cooking? Let’s learn through recipes and ingredients. Are you interested in fashion? Lets discuss clothing and patterns. Are you interested in video games? Then you’re definitely in the right place!

We will find tools that help you discuss your topics of interest in order to ensure your learning journey is enjoyable and therefore more memorable. Strong memories are built from variety and emotion so we will work to cement your grammar and vocabulary and get you speaking and reading as soon as possible.

As a native English speaker and language enthusiast I have spent much time reviewing other languages and comparing the way I learnt my native tongue to apply them to ever bettering my methods. This has allowed me to build all of the tools needed to help and inspire you or your loved ones to strengthen your English.


My Japanese knowledge gives me the versatility to be able to describe the nuances of English to native Japanese speakers, helping them digest grammar pieces more easily. I can also carry out these lessons entirely in English for a more immersive experience in a native and clear accent.

Games and Kanji offer a number of services through Fiverr. Our primary services are translation and language guidance. Our translations include documents, manga, anime and game content, so if you have an up and coming title and would like it localised into native and natural English reach us on the button below.

Snapshot educational posts

I regularly post screenshots and vocab/grammar breakdowns of interesting sentences found within video games on my Instagram. These are also added to blog posts related to those games here on Games and Kanji. See if you can find posts about your favourite games or recommend some for me to review.

Leather League! An absolute classic good all your split screeners. It takes some fine intuition to keep a track on the ball as the matches in this game carry on and even finer intuition to read all of the language you can come across. Having taken a huge hiatus with this game it was also awesome to have more characters and therefore more bios to read. Dust and Ashes was my personal favourite, tell me about yours! What a weekend! The stag party of the baldest and dearest Brötur I know. The highlight for me was easily the massive arcade we went to in Manchester, Arcade Club. While this seasonal post is almost certainly out of date I've been playing a significant amount of Clash of Clans to warrant pulling it out of the archive. Clash of Clans is fantastic for keeping the events and updates fresh and as such there's always plenty of new bits to read through. One thing that Peak does better than most games is its humour. The beauty of this is that it also translates well too so you can enjoy it in either language! I highly recommend reading the guidebook after your unfortunate crash landing. See if you can pick up some new survival lingo! If I haven't ragged on enough, Elden Ring is art. Miyazaki's worries building is faked at this point, and while Dark Souls was brilliant at this I personally feel Elden Ring takes this and cranks it up to 11. I would spend hours reading the descriptions of items in Japanese and recommend you do the same. You can learn some interesting lore and build your vocab all at the same time! I will always show my love for Aggretsuko. It's such a great show, incredibly easy to watch and a fantastic supplement to your language learning. The moving game is much the same, who could argue with mindless puzzling sprinkled with fun vocab and clips of the titular show as rewards.
